Salpa celebrates 40 years of success

8 March 2024

It was back in 1984 when engineer Antonio Pane and his wife Enza founded Nautica Salpa in Vitulazio (Caserta), a company dedicated to building boats for leisure activities. Today, forty years later, the Salpa brand with its fleets of boats and dinghies is a point of reference for boating enthusiasts.

Nautica Salpa’s first boats were small open boats that gradually grew in size and range of use, and today the fleet consists of four models from the Sunsix (6.15 metres long) to the 11.20-metre Avantgarde 35 walkaround that sleeps four.

The rigid boats are joined by the inflatable boat fleet, which kicked off in 2016 and today consists of 11 models from the 5.99-metre long Soleil 42 to the 12.75-metre long Soleil 42-T Top offering two double cabins and with the Salpa Soleil 18 starring, in conjunction with Yamaha, in the Genova Blue Date initiative at the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show, in which enthusiasts could conduct sea trials in person.

Salpa’s entire fleet is designed and built in the brand’s site located in the Volturno Nord industrial area, where the entire production cycle takes place, from design development to tank testing. “This is where the idea is born,” explained Antonio Pane, managing director of Nautica Salpa, “followed by the design and the finishing touches, because what we do is a form of organised craftsmanship that allows us to put innovative, top quality products on the market.”
