NEW RULES FOR CRUISING IN GREECE

24 May 2019

Following the introduction of the “stationing tax” in 2017, Greece has updated their TEPAI tariff (Recreational and Daily Tour Cruise Ships Fee) which concerns all private or professional vessels, whatever flag they may be flying, that carry out tourism activities on Greek waters.

The TEPAI applies to all vessels longer than 7 metres that enter and dock on Greek waters, whether they be private or hired, and those which carry out daily activities.

In order to clarify the latest regulations the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (Greece’s Customs and Revenue Agency) has added an FAQ section to their website: https://www.aade.gr/dl_assets/etepai/etepai_faqs_en.pdf
