CMC Marine introduces two new products at Mets 2023

8 November 2023

Abbreviated as LR180 and LR250, these new stabiliser fins are the largest ever to be made by CMC Marine and are a must-see innovation by the Pisa-based company at this year’s edition of METS scheduled to take place from 15th to 17th November in Amsterdam.

The new stabiliser fins are designed for boats between 50 and 100 metres in length, are hydrodynamically optimised, and boast a brand-new algorithm that improves on-board benefits and performance by minimising resistance when sailing and ensuring maximum efficiency at anchor.

In particular, both the LR180 fin, with 3.9 square metre blades and 15 kWof power per actuator (30 kW total power), and the LR250, with 6.5 or 7 square metre blades and 30 kW of power per actuator (60 kW total power), have been designed to keep overall dimensions and installation volumes as small as possible.

Like all CMC Marine stabilisation systems, the new LR180 and LR250 will be available in two- and four-fin configurations to best suit different technical or installation requirements.
