63rd Genoa International Boat Show News – Bluegame BGM 75 redefines the concept of the multihull

12 September 2023

Not a catamaran but the first example of a ‘Twin Hull’, as Philippe Briand christened its design. This is the innovative Bluegame BGM 75 that the Sanlorenzo Group’s Bluegame shipyard is presenting at the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show.

The Bluegame BGM 75 is 22.70 metres long and 8.15 metres wide, but with the cockpit terraces open onto the sea it reaches a width of no less than 12 metres. With an exterior design by Bernardo Zuccon and an interior design by Piero Lissoni, thanks to its special design it has a length/width ratio similar to that of a monohull, which translates into great stability to the benefit of on-board comfort.

In addition, the reduced width compared to a traditional cat allows the Bluegame BGM 75 to moor between monohulls and not between much larger superyachts and, again thanks to the design with hulls close together, it requires less engine power: half that required for a monohull of the same size.

The large open-air spaces are distributed between the cockpit, a terrace overlooking the sea, and the living area with bow sundeck. To these are added those on the flybridge where there is a second wheelhouse and a living area divided by the T-Top and an open terrace aft.

For the interiors, with the large saloon on the main deck, the full-beam owner’s suite located forward is joined, depending on the solution chosen, by two or three double cabins with or without a galley on the lower deck.
