The Sea2See festival is back again this year for the Genoa International Boat Show, but in a new and even more evocative location, the cloister of the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa. Three films about the sea, three different ways of experiencing and watching it: the sea here becomes a challenge and a source of life lessons, a sea that needs to be defended, to be protected from indiscriminate exploitation, a sea that can also be a source of both madness and courage. These are the keys to interpreting the film event, whose patron will be Rachele Fogar, a model with a passion for sailing and extreme sports, daughter of the famous explorer Ambrogio. Sea2See will be held in Silent Cinema mode (all spectators will be able to sit in comfortable deckchairs and will be provided with headphones) in the courtyard of Palazzo Ducale on the evenings of Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September with opening time at 8.45 pm and the screening starting at 9.00 pm. Admission is free while places last. Reservations are must be made beforehand at https://Sea2SeeGenova2023.eventbrite.it

Treasure hunting "Sulle onde del mare" (“On the waves”)

Streets and squares throughout Genoa’s historic town centre

From 3.00 pm to 6:30 pm An exciting team-based treasure hunt with something of a marine and maritime twist: an intriguing trek through old and new memories, linked to those sailors who gave Genoa the title of the “Superba”, indomitable figures who explored the skies above the waves, over the course of centuries. A treasure hunt highlighting the traditions and stories linked to the sea, particularly those of our city, walking the length and breadth of the maze of gorgeous alleyways and charming squares that makes up Genoa's historic town centre, approx. 5 km. A journey through the recesses of history, discovering often unknown aspects of the city of Genoa. The treasure hunt will take place as follows: participants will be given a map containing a series of riddles which, once solved, will point out the same number of locations in Genoa's historic town centre, manned by characters and historic re-enactors from the various Genoese Historical and Artistic Groups. Once they discover and reach the cryptic locations, the groups on site will give the participants a riddle to solve, of a maritime-historical nature, the correct answer to which will result in them being given part of an anagram. The collection of all parts of the anagram will allow them to finally solve it and find the place where the treasure is symbolically kept. The winner is whoever manages to find that location first. Participants: Associazione Liberamete APS, Associazione I Malandrini APS, Gruppo Storico Sestrese, Gruppo Storico Sextum, Compagnia Balestrieri del Mandraccio, Balestrieri San Giorgio, Gruppo Storico i Gatteschi, Gruppo Storico Corte Fieschi, Gruppo Storico Limes Vite, Gruppo Storico San Giorgio Fighter, Gruppo Folcloristico Città Di Genova, Gruppo Danze Tribal Delight. Artistic Coordination Circolo Culturale Fondazione Amon APS.
