13 June 2024

The first example of the ClubSwan 43 Swan went to sea yesterday in Pietarsaari, joining the other five models in Nautor Swan’s ClubSwan fleet, made up of the ClubSwan 28, 36, 50, 80 and 125.

The new ClubSwan 43, described as a “perfect crossover” is 14.56 metres long at bowsprit and 13.10 metres for the hull with a beam of 4.25 metres, a displacement of 7,050 tonnes and a sail area of 118.20 square metres and bears the signature of Juan Kouyoumdjian for naval architecture and Micheletti+Partners for interior design.

This project with Nautor Swan first began with the objective of creating a yacht that would perform not only in One Design environments but also in ORC classes,” explained Juan Kouyoumdjian. “The task was not an easy one, but we managed to find a design that satisfies both these racing worlds, thanks also to the continuous discussions we had with sailors and end users, all of which improved the overall project.”

The hull and deck are constructed in vinylester with carbon reinforcements and infusion technology while the bowsprit, mast and boom are in carbon fibre. Fin and keel are CNC-milled.

The ClubSwan 43 offers performance and style in both the exclusive Swan One Design circuit and the world’s most established rated racing events,” stated Federico Michetti, CS43 Sports Activities and Product Manager. “This model is not just limited to a specific category but is something that moves beyond this boundary.

The new ClubSwan 43 also features a spacious interior (made from environmentally friendly materials) with a forward cabin and two aft doubles in addition to a central living area, galley and bathroom. In addition, the interior design is made with the highest standards of flexibility in mind: 80 percent of the interior can be removed for a regatta and reinstalled to return to cruising in comfort.

The new ClubSwan 43 will make her debut at the Rolex Swan Cup 2024 organised by the Costa Smeralda Yacht Club from 15th to 19th September in Porto Cervo.
