64th Genoa International Boat Show – What’s New: Solaris Yachts unveils its 74 RS

23 August 2024

Solaris Yachts, after a long series of innovative and increasingly high-performance 22-metre yachts, will soon be unveiling what it has defined as “a unique 22-metre”: the new Solaris 74 RS, which will be making her first debut at the 64th Genoa International Boat Show.

Designed by Javier Soto Acebal, the historic designer of Solaris Yachts, and with interiors by Lorenzo Argento, the 22-metre length combines a maximum beam of 6.10 metres for a hull with unmistakable modern water lines.

The deck, barely marked by the long glazed deckhouse and with the two wheelhouses aft, is free from rigging and features a first working section next to the headsail winches followed by a guest area. The choice of the cabin entrance offset to starboard of the keel line has allowed for the presence of a large table and sunbathing area.

The interiors, inspired by the same highest standards of craftsmanship that has always distinguished Solaris yachts, thanks to the RS (Raised Saloon) layout, are bathed in natural light and, in addition to the living area and galley, can be organised into three or four cabins plus the crew cabin.

The sail area of the new Solaris 74 RS, which is also available with a lifting keel (4/2.6 metres as opposed to 3.50 metres with a fixed keel) is 210 square metres. Auxiliary engine: a Volvo Penta 175 hp.
