The FAST50 and the XO. A new project and a new concept, presented by Baglietto and both bearing the signature of Francesco Paszkowki Design.
“Innovating in line with tradition remains at the core of the Baglietto mindset,” commented Diego Michele Deprati, CEO Baglietto, “which finds its best expression in these new lines. Both projects present a great deal of innovation and pave the way for Baglietto as it defines new important goals for the future. In fact, each of these new designs,” continued Deprati, “has been conceived with a focus on the future, often anticipating it, without ever losing its DNA.”
The new FAST 50 draws its inspiration from the sleek lines of Baglietto yachts such as Pachamama, Monokini, winner of the Compasso d’Oro award in 2016, or Rush, last year’s winner of the World Superyacht Awards and, as is the case with the T52, the overall design is inspired by the objective of creating a smooth connection between interior and exterior spaces.
The FAST50 is spread over three decks with a broad owner’s cabin, two VIP cabins and two double cabins on the lower deck, while among the many outdoor spaces, worthy of particular note are those located on the upper deck and the two-floor aft area, which feature sides that can be folded down to create an open bathing platform.
The new concept that is the 50-metre XO is more than just a new Explorer in the strictest sense of the term. The XO is, above all, a new kind of experience. A distinctive element of the design is the observation area above the wheelhouse: a unique space from which to enjoy an all-encompassing view of the surroundings.
In this one-of-a-kind visual room, surrounded by flush glass windows and with a skylight on the ceiling, there are six large independent monitors where, if desired, it is possible to follow the navigation live with a drone.
Other stand-out features of the XO concept include the aft area with a central glazed door giving access to a gym and the attention paid to environmental aspects with solar panels for recharging toys and the use of specially selected paints.
