The second unit of the new Mangusta Oceano 39 series has touched water, launched from the Mangusta docks in Viareggio. The shipyard, announcing that the launch took place on Monday 6th May, also announced that the new Mangusta Oceano 39, entry level model of the Oceano displacement collection, belongs to a US owner.
Designed by Studio Verme for the naval engineering and by Alberto Mancini in collaboration with the shipyard’s technical office for the exterior design, the Mangusta Oceano 39 is spread over three decks and is in direct contact with the natural environment, not only thanks to the glass upper deck’s wings that meet the large full-height windows on both the upper deck and the main deck.
A series of elements that, together with the Infinity pool in the forward area and the aft area leading to the beach house, have earned the Mangusta Ocean 39 the definition of a “villa on the sea” and, as Mangusta Americas President Stefano Arlunno pointed out, a major commercial success in the US.
Powered by two 1,700 HP MTUs the Mangusta Ocean 39 reaches a top speed of 15 knots. Cruising speed is 12 knots with a range of 2250 miles.
