The first WiderCat 92 built by the Wider Vision Hub, Wider’s new, state-of-the-art headquarters, has touched water in Fano. The outcome of the partnership between Luca Dini Design and the Wider Style Centre, the WiderCat 92 is 28 metres long and perfectly integrates exterior and interior spaces, functionality, refinement and innovation.
“The WiderCat 92 is a collective masterpiece, a synthesis of vision, craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology,” stated Marcello Maggi, president of W-Fin Sarl, the holding company that owns 100% of Wider’s capital. “Every designer, engineer and craftsman has poured their heart and passion into this project. As we celebrate this milestone, I have every confidence that, just like Wider’s previous successes, the WiderCat 92 will become a new standard for the industry.”
The first WiderCat 92 offers an interior organised with the owner’s suite (equipped with its own private lounge) on the main deck where the panoramic saloon and wheelhouse are also located. On the lower deck are two VIP cabins and one double cabin. A solution with four guest cabins plus the owner’s suite is also available.
Stand-out features include the folding bulkheads that extend the beach club aft, a space that is also accessible from the VIP cabins, and the unique engine set-up.
The first WiderCat 92 is equipped with a revolutionary combination of hybrid technology and solar energy comprising two 500 kW electric motors for propulsion, two 349 kW generators for electricity generation, 30 LiFePO4 batteries and 150 square metres of solar panels. In full-electric configuration and Zero Emission Mode (ZEM) the WiderCat 92 has a range of 27 miles at 6 knots or a range of 14 hours if at anchor.
