The first aluminium Custom Line 50 touches water

13 June 2024

Saturday 8th June saw the launch of Asante, the first Custom Line 50 built entirely in aluminium. The launch took place at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona. “A 50-metre dream,” stated Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. “This is the new Custom Line 50, a model that fully showcases the hallmark grace, design and construction of the brand it represents. The most advanced and innovative research, both in terms of style and materials, has gone into allowing the adoption of aluminium, which also offers considerable advantages in terms of performance and consumption.”

The new Custom Line 50, as Galassi pointed out, “paves the way for a brand-new market segment for Custom Line. This is a yacht that breathes in the light and the sea by virtue of an extraordinarily thorough and effective study of volumes and spaces.” The Asante is 49.94 metres long, 9.60 metres wide and has a displacement value of 499GT.

The Asante is the brainchild of the Strategic Product Department headed by engineer Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Superyachts Division Engineering team, bearing the signatures of architect Filippo Salvetti and ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel for the design architecture and interiors.

The new Custom Line 50 features four decks with the owner’s suite, equipped with access to a private terrace forward, on the upper deck. On the lower deck there are four more VIP cabins allowing to accommodate 12 people overnight. There are nine crew members, including the captain with a cabin next to the bridge.

Among the most stand-out features of the new Custom Line 50, the design of which is all about interior-exterior interconnection and contact with the sea, is the beach club at the stern, with a platform at water level directly connected to the terrace in the cockpit where the large rectangular swimming pool is located.
