The first edition of the School of Trades, a training course promoted by the Ferretti Group aimed at creating a new generation of specialised workers, has ended at the Don Bosco Professional Training Centre in Forlì.
The Scuola dei Mestieri (School of Trades), dedicated to those between the ages of 18 and 25, aims to enhance professions that are increasingly neglected within the boat building segment but in ever greater demand in a rapidly expanding sector, through a course that goes from the classroom to the laboratory and introduces them with a hands-on approach to production processes.
The first edition of the School of Trades kicked off in March and saw the participation of nine young “students” who, during the closing ceremony, received a certificate of participation from the company, a certificate from the Emilia-Romagna Region, and a precious customised Scuola dei Mestieri bollard. After the first stage in Forlì, the Ferretti Group will take the School of Trades to Sarnico and Mondolfo as well, to include other young people in this new path.
At the closing ceremony of the first edition of the School of Trades, in addition to the course students and professors, the event was also attended by Matteo Cecada, Chief Technical & Operations Officer, Andrea Brasini, Chief HR & Organisation Officer, together with Francesco Crispino, Human Resources, Stefano Amici, Plant Director in Forlì, and Alberto Vanicelli, site manager. Also present were Giuliano Guidi, former site manager, Loris Zanchini, former line manager, Luca Carugati and Luca Baroni, representing Cnos Fap Salesiani – Aeca, Giuseppe Tartaglia, and carpentry teacher Massimo Boschi.
