Friday 17th May saw the inauguration of the completely renovated Ferretti Group yard. The ceremony was attended by Chairman Tan Xuguang and Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi, together with representatives of local public administrations and a delegation from Weichai, the Group’s historic shareholder.
The La Spezia shipyard, which employs over 750 people on a daily basis, 200 of whom are employed directly, spreads across an area of 64,000 square metres, and consists of four hangars with 21 production stations and two 1,000 square metre hangars dedicated to painting processes. In addition to these buildings, the yard is equipped with 33 berths across over 400 metres harbour area.
The Ferretti Group’s production centre in La Spezia is dedicated to the production of seven Riva models from 76′ to 130′ and allows for the launch of over 30 boats a year up to 40 metres in length.
The shipyard is part of the “Miglio Blu“ (The Blue Mile) project, aimed at enhancing the local area and the excellence it represents for the yachting world while remaining committed to respecting the surrounding environment. An aspect certified by Rina with its ISO 14001:20151 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications.
