Wooden Boats presents LimoTender BLU 8.3m

11 January 2024

A classic line inspired by the motorboats of the Dolce Vita and an avant-garde composite construction. This describes the LimoTender BLU 8.3m by Wooden Boats, a boatyard founded in 2012 by Marco Arnaboldi.

When I conceived Wooden Boats, the idea was to combine wood, the noblest of boat building materials, endowed with incredible mechanical properties, and carbon fibre,” recalled Marco Arnaboldi. “LimoTender BLU 8.3m is the natural evolution of that thought process: a state-of-the-art composite construction method, a technology in which I have dozens of boats of all sizes to my credit, from tenders like this one to superyachts of over 50 metres, but with a touch of class guaranteed by the timeless lines inspired by the motorboats of the Fifties and Sixties.”

At 8.40 metres in length with a maximum beam of 2.70 metres and a displacement of 2.9 tonnes, the LimoTender BLU 8.3m is organised with the wheelhouse positioned considerably forward which creates space for the cockpit furnished with two sofas for 12 passengers.

A feature that also distinguishes Wooden Boats’ other LimoTenders is the deckhouse, which provides an interior height of 1.80 metres that can be lowered to the level of the gunwale at just 1.50 metres for easy storage in the yacht’s garage.

Mahogany, teak and leather, crafted with all the skill of Viareggio craftsmanship, are the materials used on board while equipment ranges from air conditioning to hi-fi and Wi-Fi.

The LimoTender BLU 8.3m is fitted with a 270 hp Mercury turbodiesel inboard. Maximum speed: 35 knots; cruising speed: 30 knots with a range of 100 miles.
