Permare’s flagship the Amer 120 will be showcased at the 61st Genoa International Boat Show

25 August 2021

A core focus on reducing environmental impact during the construction process and a motor system that is one of a kind. These are only two of the many stand-out characteristics of the new Amer 120, flagship for Amer Yachts of the Permare Group.

Measuring 35.64 metres in length and 7.40 metres in width, the Amer 120, built using a ground-breaking technique that allows for a reduction in fibre glass, is a “wide body” yacht, a layout that means the main deck can house all environments from the saloon to the owner’s cabin featuring particularly large volumes.

The interiors, bathed in natural light thanks to long windows on the main and lower decks, are designed by Stefano Tini and can host up to 10 guests. The style is contemporary and developed using refined essences, metallic profiles and mirrors that evoke maritime themes inspired by the highest standards of Made in Italy quality, featuring even a “cave à vin” wall.

The four 1000 Hp Volvo IPS motors, a propulsion system in which Permare can boast almost a decade of experience since 2021 when they built the first yacht featuring POD thrusters, is designed to be fitted with a Selective Catalytic Reduction system which allows the Amer 120 to travel through Emission Control Areas, sections of the sea dedicated to safeguarding the sea, areas that will become more and more frequent as time goes on.
