Sailing Boat, Motor Boat, Unpowered Boat and Multihull.
These are the four categories representing all new designs for the Boat of the Year Award, organised by the Italian magazine Vela e Motore. The prize-giving ceremony will take place during the Genoa International Boat Show, Saturday 22nd September at the Teatro del Mare.
The Award, created by a magazine first issued in 1923 as a bulletin for the Adriatico Yacht Club in Trieste, boasts a jury line-up of top designers and architects including Sergio Abrami, Paolo Portinari, Andrea Ratti, Davide Zerbinati and Piero Ragazzi.
With the support of Vela e Motore, the judges will choose the winning boat of each category, taking into consideration only the latest designs shown at the International Boat Show.
Entries for the Boat of the Year Award can be sent to Vela e Motore (velaemotore@edisport.it) and will be accepted until 7th September.
