The recent renewal and re-launch strategy undertaken by historic Made in Italy brand SLAM continues with CEO Enrico Chieffi at the helm as of July 2021. Marco Perazzo has taken up the role of Worldwide B2B & Trade Director.
“I have chosen to join the SLAM team, an iconic Italian sailing apparel brand,” says Marco Perazzo, 48, a former sailor who can count on decades of international experience in sailing and the boating industry, 30 years of which specifically in the technical sportswear sector, “because I believe in the project undertaken by Enrico Chieffi, who has placed research and innovation at the forefront of commercial strategies and product selection.”
“It has been eighteen months since I joined the company,” said Enrico Chieffi, “This has given me the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of its inner workings, experiencing its commercial structure first hand. It was clearly time for SLAM to be able to count on a highly experienced professional”.
As Marco Perazzo emphasised: “SLAM’s goal is to remain connected to the world of sailing and boating in all its declinations while, at the same time, capturing those who enjoy outdoor activities in general, ageless consumers capable of appreciating the high technicality and research that has been put into the new collection.”
