AZIMUT SET TO JOIN THE 59th GENOA INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW WITH THEIR FLYBRIDGE FLAGSHIP, THE AZIMUT 78

The Azimut 78, largest vessel ever built in the Azimut Yachts shipyard in Avigliana and flagship of the Flybridge Collection, is scheduled to make its debut at the 59th Genoa International Boat Show this year. Conceived by structural designer Alberto Mancini and interior designer Achille Salvagni, the Azimut 78 is one of a series of vessels created with the particular Carbon-Tech building technique developed by Azimut and, just as special a feature, she is the first member of the Flybridge Collection to run on three Volvo IPS motors. 23.6 metres long and 5.75 metres wide, the Azimut 78 stands out with its onboard layout and possibility to separate the area to bow with the wheelhouse and kitchen from the guest areas. www.azimutyachts.com

THE EVINRUDE E-TEC G2 TO BE SHOWCASED AT THE 59th GENOA INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

The 59th Genoa International Boat Show will be the European debut for the E-TEC G2: the new line of motors from Evinrude’s medium series, presented to the US only a few months ago. A set of direct-injection straight-three motors in 115 H.O., 140 and 150 versions. This is Evinrude’s new E-TEC G2 line which, among other features, offers a greater level of efficiency in low consumption compared to similar four-stroke motors. All E-TEC G2 motors are also compliant, worldwide, with the emission limits, they do not require running-in and their warranty lasts for 5 years or 500 hours. This year’s edition of the Genoa International Boat Show will give visitors the chance to try the new Evinrude E-TEC G2 on vessels from BWA, Lomac, Parker and Saver. www.evinrude.com/it-it

HARKEN TO INTRODUCE THEIR CLR MOORING WINCH AT THE 59th GENOA INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

HARKEN TO INTRODUCE THEIR CLR MOORING WINCH AT THE 59th GENOA INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

The 59th Genoa International Boat Show will see Harken’s world premier for their CLR mooring winch, winner of the DAME Design Award, the nautical equipment world’s highest honour for 28 years. The CLR winch, which can be installed on sailing or motorised boats, is retractable. It therefore solves any issues for designers who wish to have a free main deck without obstacles. Featuring a unique power to size ratio, it takes up 40% less horizontal space below deck and 50% of the vertical space required by average mooring winches. Furthermore, the CLR winch weighs a third of the traditional design, offering at the same time a considerable mechanical advantage. www.harken.it
