A record quarter for Ferretti Group

22 April 2021

An unequivocal symbol of the economy’s recovery in Italy and abroad, this quarter’s 40% leap in revenue compared to the first three months of 2020 marks a record quarter for the Ferretti Group, soaring from 133 million euros last year to 186 million in 2021.

The Ferretti Group’s impressive increase in revenue is not the only record they are celebrating this quarter: a record number of 56 launches was also achieved, deriving from practically every shipyard within the Group (memorable launches include that of the 50-metre RivaFifty”, the brand new Ferretti Yacht 1000 and the Navetta 30 Custom Line), compared to the 43 launches reached last year.

The boom in launches this year also included sailing yachts such as the Wally 101, the first unit sold by the brand since joining the Ferretti Group. The Wally 101, built entirely out of carbon fibre, is a 30-metre sloop designed by the German naval architecture studio Judel/Vrolijk while the exteriors were achieved by a partnership with Pininfarina.

The Ferretti Group’s strong figures coming out of this year’s first quarter can be seen in an EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation) of 18 million euros versus the 5.5 million euros achieved in the same months back in 2020 and a collection of new orders representing over 300 million euros, which is equal to over half (56%) of those gathered over the course of the entire 2020 year. An overall outcome that, in the words of Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group: “just goes to show how the Ferretti Group is indeed sailing ahead with favourable winds: all signs are pointing to a very positive 2021”.
