A debut in Venice for the wallywhy100

8 January 2024

The Ferretti Group has chosen Venice for the official unveiling of the wallywhy100, the logical extension of the wallywhy range that draws on the characteristics that have distinguished the wallywhy200 and wallywhy150.

We could not have chosen a more appropriate location than Venice to unveil the exceptional wallywhy100, a place where canals flow carrying the lifeblood of the city, just as seawater flows through the veins of all of us at Wally,” stated Stefano de Vivo, Wally’s managing director. “Venice is an exceptional location that is very dear to the Ferretti Group’s heart, and its intrinsic connection to water perfectly embodies the connection to the sea that the wallywhy100 offers, bringing the innovative open deck design found on its larger models to an accessible, sleek, agile 70-footer at the top of its segment.”

A distinguishing feature of the wallywhy100 is the organisation on a single level that unites the spaces under the glazed superstructure, the open plan living areas, the outdoor areas and the large terrace overlooking the sea that extends 14 square metres with the hydraulic platform for launching tenders and water toys up to 3.6 metres long. A combination that realises the most innovative open/closed space concept.

The aesthetics of the yacht are 100 per cent dependent on its functionality,” explained Luca Bassani, founder and chief designer Wally. “Compared to other models on the market, ours stands out thanks to the strengthening of the relationship between functionality and performance. The enclosed cockpit is carried forward to provide space for a life on board that links interior and exterior, giving the wallywhy100 an attractive, sleek but still aggressive look.”

A full beam master cabin, two guest cabins and crew area complete the interiors while performance ranges from 24 to 27 knots depending on the choice of D13 engines, the Volvo Penta IPS1350.
