63rd Genoa International Boat Show News – Introducing Grand Soleil’s new flagship, the Grand Soleil 72LC

8 September 2023

At 23.75 metres, this model is in the top ten of the Sailing World section at the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show. This is the new flagship by the Grand Soleil shipyard: the Grand Soleil 72LC, which follows the Performance version presented last season. The new Grand Soleil 72LC is signed by a trio composed of Matteo Polli for the design, the Milan-based Nauta Design studio for exterior and interior design, and Marco Lostuzzi.

Among the stand-out features of the Grand Soleil 72LC built with highly recyclable materials and aiming at the lowest environmental impact is the deckhouse characterised by a large 270° window that allows for a perfect view from the raised interior saloon. Other special features include the cockpit with C-shaped seating. Two large sundecks aft.

The deck plan, inspired by the highest standards of tidiness, has been organised in such a way as to make navigation easy with the manoeuvres (the total sail area, mainsail and headsail, is 310 square metres) sent back to the cockpit where the two wheelhouses are located.

As for the interiors of the Grand Soleil 72 Long Cruise, different layout solutions have been studied, always with the owner’s cabin in the bow, but with the galley, which can be positioned aft or forward. The guest and crew cabins can also be arranged in different ways.
