63rd Genoa International Boat Show News – CNB presents the CNB 78, a 23-metre easy sailing yacht

6 September 2023

CNB, the French Solaris Group brand, will be joining the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show presenting the new CNB 78, which takes up the legacy (as many as 32 units sold) of the CNB76 and was built in the Aquileia shipyard.

Designed by Philippe Briand, the CNB 78 (24.85 metres in length, by 6.10 in maximum beam) maintains a waterline length of less than 24 metres (22.20 metres) which facilitates navigation in coastal waters.

On deck, the large guest cockpit, organised with a C-shaped sofa on the port side and a linear sofa on the starboard side, is set in an entirely free floor plan and marked by the long-windowed deckhouse that ensures a perfect view from the saloon.

Manoeuvre layout, deck organisation and sail plan have been designed to allow the CNB 78 to be manoeuvred even with a smaller crew. In particular, the sail plan has a 160 sqm full batten mainsail with furling genoa, foresail, asymmetrical and Code Zero.

The interior of the CNB 78 with the aft area designated for crew and galley has a large saloon on the descent from the cockpit and offers four cabins: a master suite and two double guest cabins (one can be converted to twin beds) and a twin cabin for the crew.

In a semi-custom design the CNB 78’s owner’s suite can be fitted with a bed towards the stern and a desk or a bed towards the bow and a sofa. The auxiliary engine is a 175 hp Volvo.
