63rd Genoa International Boat Show News – A special showroom for the Quick Group

12 September 2023

The Quick Group has chosen a floating showroom to present its cutting-edge technologies at the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show. The initiative, which goes by the name of Project Maverick, is based on a 1996 Falcon 80 motoryacht that underwent a complete refit.

The layout of the Falcon 80 was radically transformed by architect Aldo Parisotto so that it could be used both as a motoryacht and to accommodate a larger number of guests for sea trials. In addition, the Arcipelago Capsule Collection interior and exterior lighting system, designed by Parisotto+Formenton Architetti for the Quick Marine Lighting brand, was installed.

But it will be as a floating showroom for Quick products and systems that Project Maverick reveals its uniqueness. In addition to the Quick chain counter, remote controls, inverter, battery charger, water heaters and the Quick Nautical Network, these are the main on-board systems.

MC2 Seacentric System, the stabilisation system consisting of the Viator stabilising fins, the Intercepta trim tabs and the Quick Gyro gyro stabiliser.  The XR6 anchor winch, characterised by motor power of between 3 and 5.5 kW with a maximum working load of 1,700 kg.

There are also the BTAC 300S twin synchronous manoeuvring propellers with the new engine that weighs 70% less and is 30% more compact than the corresponding asynchronous model, and the hydraulically operated stern platform by Sanguineti Chiavari that allows the tender to be lifted, hauled and launched automatically.
