The world debut for the GS Blue and the return of the GS 52 Performance were two of the highlight events during the presentation given by Grand Soleil Yachts and dedicated to their latest creations and programmes, held at this year’s edition of Boot in Düsseldorf, during which the yard also presented their latest figures. As Cantiere del Pardo CEO Marcello Veronesi pointed out, the yard can confirm a continued growing trend in 2024 over 2023 and a further increase can be expected for 2025.
With Max Sirena, owner of a Gran Soleil and present as the yard’s spokesperson, the new GS Blue was presented, an innovative 10-metre design resulting from the key partnership between Matteo Polli for the naval architecture, Nauta Design for the exteriors and the interior design and general concept, and Nl Comp for the model’s sustainable materials.
Another highlight of the presentation was the return of the GS 52 Performance, a highly successful model launched in 1987, now revamped and updated with major optimisations in terms of performance, manoeuvrability and on-board comfort.
There is also news for the Grand Soleil Cup, having made its name as a sailing tradition, with two events in Cala Galera (23rd – 25th May) and Portopiccolo (13th – 15th June). The winners of these two events will furthermore be competing from 18th to 20th July in match races aboard two Grand Soleil Blue yachts in Malcesine on Lake Garda.
Finally, the brand new PLUS line was launched for models over 60 feet, where each boat will be built in-house, ensuring complete control over production and the highest standards of quality in every detail. The line’s future flagship was also announced: the Grand Soleil Plus 80.
