Save the date at this year’s Genoa International Boat Show (19th – 24th September) to get a closer look at the Mylius M66R, the Blue Water Cruiser by Mylius, a shipyard founded by Luciano Gandini in 2011 and since 2021 managed by his daughter Valentina Gandini.
With an overall length of 20.40 metres and a waterline length of 19.20 metres, the Mylius M66R is designed by Alberto Simeone and built entirely in carbon/epoxy; she has a maximum beam of 5.73 metres and a draught of 3.40 metres. Displacement is 24,200 kg with a ballast of approximately 8,450 kg. The sail areas when sailing upwind and in a lift are 260 and 520 square metres respectively.
The deck’s profile is barely marked by a low deckhouse, well-connected to the floor and surrounded by long windows. The aft section of the deckhouse is a large glazed canopy that provides both protection and a view for guests. The rigging is deferred to the cockpit with two wheelhouses and allows maximum freedom of movement on board.
The interior of the Mylius M66R is both classic and sophisticated, organised with a large central living area with the galley forward of the dinette and three cabins with the owner’s cabin forward and two doubles aft of the saloon. There are also plans for a sailor cabin. As for auxiliary power, the Mylius M66R is equipped with a 125kW Yanmar.
