FOCUS ON INTERNATIONALISATION, SUPPORTED BY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MINISTRY AND ICE-AGENZIA, AT THE CENTRE OF THE EVENT. 21% INCREASE IN EXHIBITORS IN GENOA FROM SEPTEMBER 20-25
ICE reinforces its support for the Italian yachting industry with a wide-ranging programme of support for the Genoa International Boat Show, easily the leading showcase for the sector in the Mediterranean and the only event in the international fairs calendar.
As part of the Extraordinary Promotion Plan for Made in Italy 2016 launched by the Ministry of Economic Development, ICE-Agenzia and UCINA, the Confindustria category Association, are organising visits for several delegations of operators and trade journalists.
There is a packed programme of B2B meetings with the Missione Operatori, which will involve managers of boatyard design offices, purchasing offices, buyers, international distributors and brokers. Particularly significant is the presence, for the first time in Italy, of the delegation of 15 independent brokers from the historic Florida Yacht Broker Association, with more than 1200 yacht broker members active in one of the liveliest markets.
On September 21 and 22, foreign operators will be available to meet Italian exhibitors upon request in the B2B Lounge (Pavilion B).
Thanks to the work of ICE Agenzia offices worldwide, expected at the show are journalists, professional operators and brokers from 32 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Malta, Middle East (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Abu Dhabi), Norway, Holland, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, UK and USA.
Support from the institutions has benefited the Genoa Show which, after laying the foundations for its relaunch last year, has seen a positive result in the increase in the number of exhibitors (+21%), positive signs from the home market, underlined also by the return of foreign exhibitors who find a point of reference in Made in Italy.
