The 59th Genoa International Boat Show will see Harken’s world premier for their CLR mooring winch, winner of the DAME Design Award, the nautical equipment world’s highest honour for 28 years.
The CLR winch, which can be installed on sailing or motorised boats, is retractable. It therefore solves any issues for designers who wish to have a free main deck without obstacles.
Featuring a unique power to size ratio, it takes up 40% less horizontal space below deck and 50% of the vertical space required by average mooring winches. Furthermore, the CLR winch weighs a third of the traditional design, offering at the same time a considerable mechanical advantage.
