The International Boat Show will be celebrating Genoa as the Capital of Yachting by extending its core concept beyond the walls of the Show itself and its pavilions’ walls, into the city, which will provide even more moments of entertainment for visitors and enthusiasts, all inspired by the sea.
This year’s GenovaInBlu programme will be as full as always of events taking place outside the Boat Show.
GENOA will be providing visitors with a vast array of initiatives and cultural attractions, all worth experiencing:

We would also like to offer you a selection of itineraries, chosen from the many possibilities throughout the city: if you prefer to be guided while exploring the city, you can choose from our guided tours, audio guides and bus or train tours of the city; all information can be found here. If, on the other hand, you wish to explore the city on your own, you can find a useful guide in the new dedicated section, to discover all of Genoa’s neighbourhoods, from the most famous to the least renowed.
The city won the title of “European Capital of Culture” in 2004 and 2006 and a portion of its historical city centre “The Strade Nuove and the Palazzi Rolli System” have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage. Moreover, you have the opportunity to take a guided tour offered by our Tourist Offices. In fact experiencing Genoa means also discover the many souls it is made up of: the nineteenth-century neighbourhoods, the forts, the fishing and holiday borough on the “levante” or “ponente” coastlines, full of villas and picturesque views and those on the mainland which still uphold their own traditions. To discover the breath-taking parks and historical villas of Genoa, read up on them here.
Genoa’s forts are one of the least known treasures of the city: history and day trip lovers can find all the necessary info here.
The charming aesthetic and views are worth of a film set as much as the perfect frame for a fast-moving cultural hub: museums, unique in the wealth of their collections and beauty of their locations, a renowned theatrical and musical tradition, key exhibitions and global events, such as Euroflora and the Genoa International Boat Show.
The Aquarium city naturally offers many exciting opportunities for sea lovers: moving away from the city centre, in only a few minutes, you will be able to enjoy wonderful panoramic walks and a refreshing dive into the big blue. And for those looking to end the day with an aperitivo on the shore or a typical dinner, click here to find the tastes and flavours of the local cuisine.
