Founded in 1955 by Ugo Mursia and directed since 1982 by his daughter Fiorenza, Mursia is a historic brand of the Italian publishing industry, with a catalogue of more than 4000 titles ranging from history, to classics, to manuals, to fiction, to the Biblioteca dei Giochi (Games Library) and to the Biblioteca del Mare (Sea Library). With more than 400 titles published, Mursia’s Biblioteca del Mare represents the most prestigious and comprehensive European catalogue of books dedicated to the sea and its protagonists. A real landmark born from Ugo Mursia’s passion for the sea and for the Polish-British novelist and story writer Joseph Conrad, that after more than fifty years of activity and hundreds of titles published, Mursía keeps alive by spreading sea and navigation culture and seafaring values and history.
