“Colonie per l’infanzia in Liguria” by Daniele Libero Campi Martucci.
The show is the result of a project aimed at rediscovering and mapping out the climatic colonies in Liguria, in order to re-evaluate their role in safeguarding children’s health, in the context of a phenomenon that left a deep mark in the economy, traditions and landscape of over a century and a half of Italian history.
The exhibition traces its evolution from eighteenth-century sea homes to the large fascist colonies, from the aftermath of the Second World War to the ‘80s, and offers a thematic study through case studies alongside artistic photographs and original historical documents.
