Dometic Gen 4 steering helms by Indemar

Indemar, a distributor of innovative technical components dedicated to the marine industry, has announced the arrival of Dometic’s new Gen 4 steering helms. The Gen 4 helms offer an unprecedented sailing experience, characterised by greater responsiveness and smoother steering.

The new helms offer tighter and more precise manoeuvrability that ensures a better ability to get back on course after manoeuvring, making driving much more intuitive. In the new steering helms, Dometic has also reduced the chattering noises that typically arise when steering under load, and the restyling has given the helms an appearance more suited to modern boats.

Dometic’s Gen 4 steering helms are compatible with BayStar, SeaStar and SeaStar Pro systems and are available in three kits: the HK4300-4 BayStar for boats up to 150 hp, the HK6400-4 SeaStar for boats up to 350 hp and the HK7500-5 SeaStar Pro, mainly for single engine fishing boats up to 350 hp.

Each kit of Dometic’s new Gen 4 steering helms includes the new helm, steering cylinder, fluid and all necessary mounting hardware. Hose/fluid kits are sold separately.
