Cantieri di Pisa’s refit division grows

7 March 2025

134 metres is the total length of the most recent three orders that the refit division of Cantieri di Pisa has achieved with work on a 50-metre Benetti, a 41-metre Feadship and a 43-metre Perini Navi. The Benetti and Perini Navi came to Cantieri di Pisa respectively through the Ligurian company YOT headed by Fortunato Di Marco and Alessandro Speziari and the Monegasque company Simonazzi Yachts, owned by Claudio Simonazzi.

We are incredibly proud to see these recent orders. The refit division is growing both in terms of turnover, which has already reached five times that of the previous year, and in terms of square meterage,” commented Marco Massabò, CEO of Cantieri di Pisa. “Now the area dedicated to the refit division covers 24,000 square metres, those employed directly are close to 20 – ten professionals will soon be increasing this figure even more – and each project has an induced workforce of between 200 and 300 people.”

The refit division of Cantieri di Pisa, equipped among other things with a trolley and a travel lift, both with a capacity of 300 tonnes, boasts among its strengths the close collaboration and direct communication between the Research and Development department and the skippers. Over the past three years, Cantieri di Pisa’s refit division has seen a surge in demand, culminating in a fivefold increase in turnover in 2024 compared to 2023.
