APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 65th GENOA INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW, TAKING PLACE 18 – 23 SEPTEMBER 2025
THE EVENT IS SET TO STRENGTHEN ITS LEADING ROLE AS A SHOWCASE FOR THE INTERNATIONAL YACHTING INDUSTRY, REAFFIRMING THE SECTOR’S THREE-YEAR POSITIVE TREND.
Today, applications for the 65th Genoa International Boat Show, scheduled to take place from 18th to 23rd September this year, are officially open.
The event is set to strengthen its strategic role as a leading global showcase for the yachting industry, reaffirming the consistent growth trend that has been driving the sector for the past three years, a role made possible by the strategic choices that have defined the event’s innovative development plan, its exclusive position in direct dialogue with national and European institutions, and the unmatched leadership of the Italian yachting sector worldwide.
The 2025 edition of the Genoa International Boat Show, in addition to consolidating its historical role as a driving force behind the yachting market, demonstrates to the world year after year its capacity to determine the market’s future challenges in terms of sustainability, regulations, safety at sea, and marine culture.
“What sets Genoa apart from all other international boat shows are key innovations, such as our decision to focus on outdoor spaces, which now amount to 85% of total exhibition surface area, the possibility of carrying out sea trials, as many as 3,855 of which took place last year alone, our “premium” docks that allow yards bringing both sailing and motor boats to face both the sailing and motor areas of the event from a single location, the five fully developed and interconnected segment areas (Yachts & Superyachts, Sailing World, Boating Discovery, Tech Trade, and Living the Sea), and the new architectural layout designed by Renzo Piano. All these steps forward have defined the Genoa Boat Show’s positive counter-trend performance, even within a global economic context that is not easy to navigate and constantly evolving.” – stated Andrea Razeto, President of I Saloni Nautici, the company that organises the Genoa Boat Show, 100% of which is controlled by Confindustria Nautica – the Italian Marine Industry Association.
Thanks to the renewed and extended support provided by the Italian Trade Agency, the event continues to invest in invitational tours dedicated to industry professionals and journalists representing leading international trade publications. With the final touches of the indoor sports arena now completed, the full Waterfront redevelopment project has come to an end. This last addition will allow the event to benefit from new services, including 800 new
underground parking spaces. As for the city of Genoa itself, ongoing work continues to provide new roads and fast transport connections to Milan.
Finally, this year the Genoa International Boat Show will continue its growing commitment to sustainability, with the 2025 edition set to be carried out in full compliance with the ISO 20121 Certification already achieved in 2024, having set itself the goal of further reducing its environmental impact, promoting responsible practices and enhancing the principles of accessibility and social inclusion.
As highlighted in the “Made in Italy 2030” Green Book issued by Italy’s Minister for Business and Made in Italy Industry Adolfo Urso, the yachting sector has joined the “4As” or four traditional pillars of Italian industry. In 2024, the Italian yachting industry excelled, reaching an all-time value record of €8.33 billion, reaffirming Italy’s global leadership as exporter of recreational boats and yachts with an all-time record of €4.4 billion, as superyacht producer with more than 50% of global orders made in Italy, and as manufacturer of inflatable boats, components and boating equipment.
