A world first and two new designs for the world to discover. This will be Italia Yachts’ contribution to the 61st Genoa International Boat Show, where the shipyard will make its appearance as the winning shipbuilder at the ORC European Championship with its IY 11.98.
Designed by the Cossutti studio, the IY 14.98 (15.35 metres in length) with dynamic lines and a main deck featuring large, free open spaces, the model is available in both the “Bellissima” version, preferable for cruising, and the “Fuoriserie” version, tailored to racing.
Providing a primarily easy sailing experience, ideal for any crew including a family, the IY 14.98 features a sail plan (mainsail + jib) that varies from 125 sqm to 134 sqm with a 200-230 sqm gennaker.
However, Italia Yachts will also be revealing something else at the 61st Genoa International Boat Show this year, alongside the world premiere of the IY 14.98. The shipyard will be presenting two new designs by the Carkeek Design studio, founded in 2010 by Shaun Carkeek. Among the many designs by Shaun Carkeek, partnered with Marcelino Botin, are the Volvo Open 70 Puma and now the latest creations from Italia Yachts, awaiting visitors at this year’s edition of the International Boat Show in Genoa.
