The Seadeck 6 is set to kick off the world’s first Low Emission Yacht series. This is the new model Azimut will be presenting at the 64th Genoa International Boat Show. The Seadeck Series combines a reduced weight superstructure and a latest generation hull design featuring cutting-edge technology in terms of electrification.
Azimut, a pioneer in the use of carbon fibre, has gained a great deal of experience in lightening yachts and thanks to the know-how acquired by its R&D department, it has created 40% of Seadeck 6’s surface area in carbon.
In addition to this, the Seadeck 6 combines the innovative Mild Hybrid Zero Emission Hotel Mode system, which allows the yacht to stay at anchor with zero emissions and sail with the generator switched off by powering the on-board utilities, further reducing consumption.
The Mild Hybrid Zero Emission Hotel Mode system, based on a 42 kWh lithium battery pack and an alternator connected to one of the three engines, allows Zero Emission for four hours during the day and eight hours at night.
The Seadeck 6, 17.5 metres long with a beam of 5.05 metres, can accommodate up to six people in three cabins. The Volvo IPS engine set-up is allows for a top speed of 33 knots and 24 knots of cruising speed, with a conscious approach to navigation.
