64th Genoa International Boat Show – What’s New: Azimut’s Fly 62 reimagines the flybridge concept

5 September 2024

Launched on 29th July and soon to make its world debut at the 64th Genoa International Boat Show, the new Fly 62 is the model that Azimut has developed as part of its constant quest to offer, in each new model, ground-breaking ways of using space, never before seen on the market.

As part of this constant research, the 19.42 metre-long Fly 62 re-invents the cockpit by turning it towards the stern, thus creating a progressive approach to the sea.

This is how the Beach Cockpit was born: the transom opens outwards and with a synchronous movement the sofa lowers, eliminating any barrier and creating a large sunbathing area a short distance from the water and a connection with the sea that is unique for any yacht in this segment.

Designed by Alberto Mancini, who in the exteriors moved the superstructure towards the bow to enlarge the cockpit and emphasised the Fly series’ stylistic signature with a new hard top, and by Fabio Fantolino, who for the interiors designed spaces with no obstacles for a sensation of total contact with the sea, Azimut’s new Fly 62 revolutionises the concept of a flybridge.

The new Fly 62 offers guests three cabins for six berths, plus a further two berths in the crew cabin. The engines are two Volvo Penta IPDS 1200 at 900 hp which allow a top speed of 32 knots.
