64th Genoa International Boat Show – What’s New: Adaptability is the keyword for CNB’s Lagoon 43

28 August 2024

A versatile boat with modular boundaries, the Lagoon 43, a brand new model from Lagoon Catamarans soon to be on display at this year’s 64th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show. A versatility achieved by intervening on the position of the mast of this 13.92-metre-long catamaran (the maximum beam is 7.69 metres), which has been moved further forward, making it possible to create a single living space between the saloon and the cockpit.

Another stand-out feature of the Lagoon 43 is the side opening of the stern bulwarks which allows for circulation between the boat and the dock, combining safety and comfort, and the new shape of the hulls which offers generous volumes and larger berths in all the cabins.

A series of solutions derived from the trio behind the Lagoon 43: VPLP Design for the naval architecture, Patrick le Quément for the exteriors and Nauta Design for the interiors.

In addition to the usual large living area in the cockpit directly connected to the saloon (the dining table can be arranged to seat 6 or 12 people) with the galley in the bow, the Lagoon 43 combines, as is tradition, ample open-air spaces with the sundeck in the bow and that next to the wheelhouse on the flybridge.

There are two available options when it comes to how the interior layouts are organised featuring three or four cabins. In the first version, the entire starboard hull is dedicated to a master suite with two doubles in the port hull. In the second version two large doubles in each hull.
