Sustainable design and high energy efficiency. This is how the new Grand Soleil 65, which Cantiere del Pardo will be unveiling at the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show, is presented in its LC version: Long Cruise. 21.60 metres long with a maximum beam of 5.60 metres, the Grand Soleil 65LC was developed in cooperation with Franco Corazza and built using materials and construction methods with a low environmental impact.
Some examples of this are the teak, which comes from a sustainable supply chain, the composite lamination with linen and ecological resins, and the water-based paints. Added to this are the solar panels with which the Grand Soleil 65LC is equipped and which provide renewable energy.
Of particular note is the sail plan designed to reduce heeling and the self-tacking jib that allows two people to sail without any problems. On deck, Nauta Design, which designed both the exterior and interior layouts, has focused on functionality and ergonomics with the two wheelhouses that precede a large, comfortable cockpit for guests.
A detail of the Grand Soleil 65LC’s below deck is the saloon in a raised position compared to the cabins to leave space for the engine room. The living area houses, on the descent from the cockpit, first a relaxation area with a dining area, then a second area with the galley amidships and dinette followed by, finally, the owner’s cabin forward. Aft are two guest cabins with one double and one twin. The auxiliary engine of the Grand Soleil 65LC is a 100 hp.
