59TH GENOA INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE FROM 19TH TO 24TH SEPTEMBER

96,7% OF EXHIBITORS CONFIRM THEY WILL BE BACK FOR THE 2019 EDITION

This morning in Rome, at the Pinacoteca del Tesoriere, the Annual Members Assembly of UCINA – the Italian Marine Industry Association – took place, bringing together Italy’s leisure boating entrepreneurs to compare notes on their activities and define future collaborative projects.

During the event, as is tradition, the dates for the 59th Genoa International Boat Show were announced: next year’s edition will take place in Genoa from 19th to 24th September 2019.

This comes as a decision which confirms the impressive level of satisfaction perceived by operators in the industry with regards to such a key event, recognised as a strategic asset with which to showcase their products to the global market and to consolidate and promote their businesses’ image internationally.

“The Customer Insight study carried out by GRS Research&Strategy revealed that over 78% of our exhibitors are satisfied with the event’s location. A percentage which increases dramatically, reaching almost 100%, when it comes to participants confirming their interest in returning for 2019” – stated Alessandro Campagna, Commercial Director for the Genoa International Boat Show.

The 2018 edition of the Genoa International Boat Show ended on a high with some impressive closing figures: 174,610 visitors16% more than last year, of which 57,000 from overseas951 brands on display across over 200,000 m2 both on land and at sea. 62 is the number of new names taking part, of which 58% came in from abroad. The international operators and journalists who took part in the incoming mission organised by the Italian Trade Agency in partnership with UCINA, Italy’s Marine Industry Association, were 150, flying in from 27 countries.
