AN UNDENIABLE SUCCESS LAST YEAR, THE MULTI-SPECIALIST FORMULA WILL BE ENHANCED WITH TAILORED SERVICES DEVELOPED FOR FOUR DISTINCT SECTORS. THE INTERNATIONAL PLAN FOR PROMOTING THE GENOA INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW HAS ALSO BEEN LAUNCHED.

30th April saw the first stage of registration for the 59th Genoa International Boat Show, taking place in Genoa from 19th to 24th September this year, come to a close. Common to all applications has been a need for more room to display a greater selection of products as to showcase the latest for the upcoming 2020 season. Over 92% of the exhibitors from 2018 have already confirmed their participation. Compared to the same date last year, applications have soared by 26% along with an increase in applications from abroad.

Among the first shipyards to confirm their presence at the 2019 Genoa International Boat Show are: Amer Yachts, Azimut Yachts, Beneteau, Galeon, Green Line, Jeanneau, Monte Carlo Yachts, Pardo Yachts, Princess, Sanlorenzo, Solaris Yachts, Sunseeker and Vismara. For outboard motors Brp, Honda, Selva Marine, Suzuki and Yamaha.

An undeniable success at last year’s edition, the four boat shows in one formula will be back again for 2019. A multi-specialist boat show, with tailored services dedicated to four distinct market segments: yachts and superyachts, the world of sailing, that of outboard motors and inflatables and, last but not least, accessories and components, a layout focused on providing every segment and respective client base with an ever more specialised treatment. The entirety of the available space – 115,000 square metres on water and 110,000 on land – will therefore be exploited using innovative technical solutions to cope with the increase in applications, from expanding the piers to optimising a number of open-air sections.

On a more global scale, the overseas communication campaign for the International Boat Show has been operating since March this year, within the context of the Extraordinary Plan to Promote the Made in Italy Brand launched by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development and carried out by the Italian Trade Agency. The campaign involves a significant presence in the world’s industry-leading foreign magazines and a Press Tour project with 150 journalists and operators from overseas, who will be invited to the 59th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show planned to take place from 19th to 24th September 2019, dates which have proved to successful and which have therefore been confirmed for the fourth year running.

The international marketing campaign for the Genoa International Boat Show will see ambassadors taking part in the world’s leading boat shows. For 2019, planned events in which the Genoa Boat Show and UCINA (Italy’s Marine Industry Association) will be represented include Boot in Düsseldorf (19th – 27th  January), the Dubai International Boat Show (26th February – 2nd March) and the Singapore Yacht Show (11th – 14th April). The programme will then continue with the Ibex Show in Tampa (USA, 6th – 8th September), the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show (Florida – USA, 30th October – 3rd November) and Amsterdam’s METS Trade Show (19th – 21st November).
