At the Palm Beach International Boat Show, Benetti has unveiled the latest development of Project LIFE, an 85-metre steel giant yacht.
Project LIFE, the largest yacht engineering plan ever unveiled by Benetti, is designed by Espen Øino for the exterior design and layout, while François Zuretti, a long-time collaborator with Benetti, took care of the interiors. Burgess collaborated with Benetti to ensure the best quality in the technical and operational aspects of Project LIFE.
“With Project LIFE our goal is to offer different experiences on every deck, emphasising social interaction thanks to shared layouts and versatile spaces to live in, all while continuously surrounded by the sea,” commented Sebastiano Vida, Head of the Product Benetti office. “To make this project become a reality, we extended our collaborations network to include some of the leading designers in the world and teamed up with industry leaders, including the likes of Burgess. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved.”
One of the most distinctive elements of Project LIFE is the 270 sqm Beach Area, which redefines the yacht’s aft area. This area is open on three sides, allowing guests to move around freely and fostering an unprecedented interconnection between the Beach Platform and the interior Beach Club.
Other key features of Project LIFE include six guest cabins, the 98-square-metre Owner’s Cabin, an oasis of tranquillity, and the 112-square-metre Main Salon.
Among the technological solutions to reduce the design’s environmental impact, Project LIFE’s diesel-electric drive has the option of using both diesel and non-fossil fuels, including HVO.
