“Project Pantelleria” is the code name for the most recent sale of a Mangusta GranSport 33, sold to a US owner. The announcement came from Overmarine Group who, with this latest sale, have confirmed the significant interest in their products on behalf of cross-Atlantic markets.
“This particular model” pointed out Stefano Arlunno, Mangusta President for the Americas “of which three units have already been sold to the United States, has truly become a benchmark across the Atlantic. The model’s external lines, designed with a family feeling with what is now the traditional Mangusta style, are what makes it’s design so sought-after, along with vast volumes on deck and outer spaces that allow for those on board to enjoy the sea at arm’s reach all year round”.
Where entry level meets fast displacement, the Mangusta GranSport 33, as is the case for all Gran Sport designs including the 45 and 54-metre models, was designed by Alberto Mancini and stands out for its outdoor layout, featuring a 56 sqm sundeck. As for the interiors the layout includes four guest cabins and an owner’s suite measuring an impressive 40 sqm located on the main deck.
Running on four 735 kW Volvo Penta D13s paired with IPS pods the brand new Mangusta GranSport 33, the delivery of which is estimated to take place in March 2022 can reach a top speed of 25 knots. Overmarine Group is currently busy constructing another Mangusta GranSport 33 under the name “Project Panarea”, expected to be delivered in June 2022.
