DELEGATION OF ITALIAN BUSINESSES AT THE 2019 DUBAI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

THE 2019 DUBAI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW TAKES PLACE FROM 26th FEBRUARY TO 2nd MARCH

UCINA AND ITA ORGANISE A DELEGATION OF ITALIAN BUSINESSES

UAE A STRATEGIC MARKET FOR PROMOTING THE ITALIAN LEISURE BOATING INDUSTRY

The Dubai Canal, Jumeirah, will host the 2019 edition of the Dubai International Boat Show from 26th February to 2nd March. A key event for trade and the boating industry in the Middle East which in 2018 recorded around 27.000 visitors and 845 exhibitors from 61 countries worldwide.

The business delegation put together by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and the Italian Marine Industry Association (UCINA).

As part of the international promotion plan for the Made in Italy brand and the Genoa International Boat Show (Genoa, 19th-24th September 2019) supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and made by ITA, UCINA will be in Dubai with its own institutional stand and a delegation of italian businesses.

Taking part in the delegation are: Ascom Spa, Boat Lift, Boero Yachtcoatings, Vapsint Gas Springs and Dampers, Fratelli Zucchini – Sealants and Adhesives, G.F.N. Marine Equipment, Ingemar, Marinedi, Pmp, Luxury Wood Italy, Imete Wave Marine and Creazioni Nautiche by Valeo.

The market

“The UAE market continues to grow and the Dubai International Boat Show plays a key role in promoting leisure boating in the Gulf region, featuring a high degree of purchase power” – commented UCINA President Carla Demaria“In 2017 “leisure and sport boat” exports from Italy to the Emirates were worth 24 million euros and, according to preliminary ISTAT findings as of November, exports in 2018 reached 36 million euros, a surge of over 50%. In terms of super yachts (>24 metres), the UAE were the 9th biggest buyers in 2018, after China and followed by Brazil” (source: Global Order Book 2018).

The next international show

Joint ITA and UCINA activities will continue in April at the Singapore Yacht Show, scheduled to take place from 11th to 14th April 2019.
