Designed by Shaun Carkeek, with an upturned bow, a freshly pitched deckhouse, flush deck and large interiors, construction is continuing on schedule for the latest yacht from Mylius Yachts, the new M72, a 22.24-metre cruiser racer.
The Mylius M72 stems from the yard’s request for a hull that incorporates all the characteristics of the Mylius family feeling, elevated to the next level. From the hull to the interiors, every aspect has been designed to meet the most demanding requirements.
Construction of the new Mylius M72 is entirely in pre-preg carbon and the water lines are designed in a competitive style with double rudders, a lifting keel and water ballast. The sail plan is designed for racing but can also be modulated for cruising.
The interiors proposed, designed both in layout and décor by Studio Parisotto+ Formenton Architetti, envisages three cabins with master in the bow and two guests in the stern, a galley and a dinette but, at this stage of construction, the owner has the possibility of modifying the layout, colours, materials and fabrics to their liking.
“Given the already advanced stage of construction,” explained Francesco Bianchi of Mylius Yachts, “the M72 only requires the last personal touches from the client for her to take to the sea: a not insignificant advantage, considering that more than two years can pass between the design and construction phases of a yacht of this kind.”
