Following in the wake of the 850 Fantom Air open day cruiser, comes the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom, the second boat to be produced that is a 100% electric sports boat. This brand new model is the brainchild of a prestigious collaboration, that between the Austrian shipyard and the Stuttgart-based car manufacturer, who came together to develop an electric boat designed to ensure the same peak performance that defines vehicles belonging to the E-Performance range.
The new Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom is a close next step following the presentation of the eFantom open, a model that was awarded the title of Best Electric Boat at the Best of Boats Awards in November 2024. This unit is available not only in coupé and cabriolet variants, just like when purchasing a Porsche car, but owners may also choose between two alternative layouts: one that features a closed deck and cabin below deck while the other provides a central wheelhouse and relaxation spaces in the bow.
The new Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom, explained Lutz Meschke, Vice Chairman of the Board of Management and Head of Finance and IT at Porsche AG, “is an elegant day cruiser equipped with an innovative and powerful propulsion system that sets a new benchmark for the yachting world. This is indeed the path we wish to travel alongside Frauscher with this brand new 850 Fantom.”
Both versions of the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom are 8.67 metres long with a beam of 2.49 metres and are fitted with the propulsion unit of the Porsche Macan consisting of a permanent magnet synchronous motor that can deliver up to 400 kW for a maximum speed of 49 knots.
The new Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom will be built initially as a limited edition of 25 and will make its debut at Boot Düsseldorf 2025.
