An insightful roster of Italian and international guests will also take to the stage to discuss current factors impacting the sector from a more global standpoint, from climate change to artificial intelligence to the effects on international trade dependent on the White House’s change of course, analysing industrial and labour policies and the measures achieved for the sector by the Italian Marine Industry Association.
Measures obtained by the Association include the activation of the Italian Boating Code’s Regulations for Implementation – with important administrative simplifications for users, the revision of superyacht regulations, the introduction of the D1 “licence”, a key review of safety equipment, and the provision of infrastructure for small-scale yachting in public ports – along with the reform of professional yachting titles, the “Infringements” decree – which provides for the autonomous regulation of state concessions with regards to marinas – in addition to more recent measures soon to be issued, starting with a bill aimed at promoting and enhancing marine resources with further updates to the Boating Code, also requested and successfully achieved by the Association.
The event will start off in the morning with a private session dedicated to Association members spanning the entire Italian yachting supply chain and the election of the representative bodies for each of the nine Sector Assemblies – embodying all industry segments from shipbuilding to components, from marinas to services, from charters to sales networks – into which the Italian Marine Industry Association is divided.
