64th Genoa International Boat Show – What’s New: Ingemar presents the barrierless platform Marina4all

9 September 2024

Ingemar, once again the Technical Partner of the Genoa International Boat Show, supplier of the Genoa Boat Show’s pontoons where fleets of boats will be showcased in the water throughout the event, and at the same time exhibitor of their own products at the Show’s 64th edition, will be displaying to the world their unique floating platform Marina4all (M4A), which visitors will find installed on the Boat Show’s waterfront.

The Marina4all (M4A) platform provides a total surface area of 40 square metres and is equipped with a variety of aids designed for disabled users made by Madeit4a, an industry leader when it comes to breaking down barriers to mobility across the boating sector and Ingemar’s partner in the definition and promotion of the Marina4all project, the mission of which has recently achieved the patronage of the Italian Marine Industry Association.

Throughout the 64th Genoa International Boat Show, on the Marina4all platform, disabled sailor Marco Rossato, who already took centre stage in last year’s Giro d’Italia a Vela – Navigare Oltre i Limiti (the Sailing Tour of Italy – Sailing Beyond Limits), held in cooperation with the association I Timoneri Sbandati, will be managing a meet and greet area devoted to the exchange of ideas and experiences. Moreover, the Marina4all space will also host the representatives of the Blue Marine Award, the sought-after acknowledgment for the enhancement of Italian marinas whose spirit is in line with the core values driving the Marina4all project.

Solid wood elements made by LHR in Venice with reclaimed staves from the pontoons of the port of Palau (installed by Ingemar in 1986 and recently renovated) have been used for the Marina4all platform’s walkway, testifying to the total recyclability/reusability of these finishing elements by the Casale-based company as well.
