Italia Yachts has chosen the 64th Genoa International Boat Show for the presentation of its first motoryacht, after more than 200 sailing yachts built over recent years: the Italia Yachts 43 Veloce, initials IY 43 Veloce.
With an exterior designed by Skyron, whose signature can be seen in the model’s naval architecture, and exteriors and interiors designed in partnership with the Italia Yachts Design Team, the IY43 Veloce, 14 metres long by 4.25 maximum beam was born, as Italia Yachts CEO Daniele De Tullio explained, “from a need to offer our client the opportunity to choose a motoryacht with the same stylistic features that distinguish our sailing series maintaining those same classic and modern lines that are recognisable at a first glance. A mix of style, technology, innovation, all enclosed within an elegant shape designed to express the best of Made in Italy quality“.
A high prow to guarantee safety on board, a hard-top that protects a modular living area, large sofas, comfortable walkways, and the possibility of extending the cockpit space thanks to the included folding bulwarks, all stand-out features characterising the exteriors.
Below, inspired by the concept of modern elegance, by using clean lines and light, pleasant materials, the new IY 43 Veloce is available in a variety of different layouts, such as the possibility of choosing a master cabin forward and one cabin with single beds aft, two cabins with double beds, or just the master cabin aft and a large living area forward.
There are also several possible engine set-ups. The first inboard versions of the IY 43 Veloce are equipped with two 380 hp Yanmar Stern Drives, two 440 hp D6 IPS 600s, and two 480 hp D6 IPS 650s, while the outboard versions are fitted with three 300 hp Mercury Verado 3 Xs and three 400 hp Mercury Verados.
