During the prize ceremony for the Oscars of Italian Sailing, the 30th edition of the Sailor of the Year Awards, the Italian Sailing Federation’s team that will represent Italy in the regattas making up the Paris 2024 Olympics, scheduled to take place in Marseille, was also officially presented. Out of the ten classes admitted to the Olympic regattas, Italy will be competing in nine with the following sailors:
– Formula Kite – Female: Maggie Pescetto
– Formula Kite – Male: Riccardo Pianosi
– ILCA 6: Chiara Benini Floriani
– ILCA 7: Lorenzo Brando Chiavarini
– iQFOiL – Female: Marta Maggetti
– iQFOiL – Male: Nicolò Renna
– Nacra 17: Ruggero Tita – Caterina Banti
– 470 Mix: Elena Berta – Bruno Festo
– 49er:FX: Jana Germani – Giorgia Bertuzzi
The Olympic regattas will kick off on 28th July this Summer with the first races of the classes: iQFOil Male, iQFOil Female, 49er and 49er:FX
