The auction organised by the Ferretti Group in support of 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund, the unique partnership between David Beckham and UNICEF that helps give vulnerable and disadvantaged children the opportunity to develop their full potential, has concluded.
The Ferretti Group had auctioned off one of only 18 examples of the Riva Anniversario and the proceeds from the sale of the yacht will be donated to support UNICEF’s work in El Salvador to create safe spaces for children to learn and play.
In 2023, The David Beckham UNICEF Fund provided sports, cultural and arts activities for more than 5,000 children and adolescents in El Salvador with the goal of helping them attend school by making public spaces safer and child-friendly, and strengthening child protection services by making them more accessible.
“I would like to thank UNICEF for the opportunity to contribute to such a noble and worthy cause as that supported by ‘7 Fund for UNICEF’ with our yacht. It is an honour to have played an active role in this project that offers hope and opportunities to thousands of children and their families,” said Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group.
To date, thanks to 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund more than 36,000 children in El Salvador have benefited from this programme, which also aims to provide all children with the opportunity to play sports safely, so that they can stay fit and learn useful life skills.
